Message from the Feast Team.

November: 10th - 25th 2012

The dates for Feast 2012 are 10-25 Nov. Light Square will once again be Feast’s Hub and we are planning new venues, layout and surprises. Feast is a leading queer Festival nationally and internationally. We celebrate queer creativity and community and invite everyone to Feast with us.

Adelaide is an ideal Festival city in South Australia, the Festival state. Feast is a major Adelaide Festival alongside The Adelaide Festival of the Arts, Adelaide Fringe, Womadelaide, Come Out, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, SALA Festival, OzAsia Festival and Adelaide Film Festival. 
 
Feast is welcoming, often intimate and always special. We are renowned for the diversity and artistic excellence of our Festival program, support for artists, powerful community cultural development projects, quirky boutique events, epic parties, and the great vibe of our Hub. Our iconic Opening Night Party and gorgeous Picnic in the Park book end two weeks and three weekends of Feasting. 
 
What's going on at Feast now? Kerry Ireland, Feast’s Creative Producer is finalising the Hub design, talking to artists about shows, checking out potential acts nationally and internationally, dreaming, scheming and shaping Feast 2012.
 
Lorraine Tyler, Feast’s General Manager, is thinking big on sponsorship, creative partnerships and marketing Feast to a growing audience in Adelaide, interstate and internationally. She's finding the right partners and providing tailored benefits that bring value to all.

The Feast team also includes Scott Whellum our newly appointed Registrations, Box Office and Artist Services Coordinator and Lily Pook- Ryan, Sales, Marketing and Admin Assistant both terrific, skilled and committed to making Feast 2012 finger licking good. Brian North is volunteering his services as Volunteer Coordinator and has exciting plans for this year’s champion volunteer crew, Chris Iley is our Production Manager extrordinaire.

Many of Feast’s much valued sponsors are on board, we’re talking to new sponsors and creative partners plus ARTS SA, SA Tourism Commission and Adelaide City Council continue to support the Festival. 

Everything is a buzz in the office at the moment, Festival rregistrations are now OPEN.

The Feast theme and poster Launch will happen on the 24 May.


Fundraising is a focus right now with Bingo happening every Sunday at The Light Hotel, Light Square. Feast’s annual Quiz Night and Auction happens Sat 2 June.  Then it’s 5 months until Feast. We’ll keep you updated on what’s cooking on this website.
