The Feast Comedy Debate

'We were better off inside the closet than out.'

Was queer life better when we had all our own bars, clubs, and culture? Or is our integration into the mainstream for the best?

Join some of the funniest and most fierce comics in Australia as they go head to head in this battle of giggles and wits where YOU decide who wins in this festival favourite event.

Hosted by iconic Adelaide Legend Lori Bell and Featuring Christian Hull, Rainbow History Class, Mitchell Coombs, Rudy-Lee Taurua, and the undisputed unbeaten champion of the Feast Debate Laura Taylor, this star-studded event is a must-see.

Learn More About the Artist/Producer...

Feast Festival is Adelaide’s Premier LGBTQIA+ Arts and Cultrual Festival. Founded in 1997 by professional arts and community cultural workers Helen Bock, Damien Carey, Luke Cutler, and Margie Fischer, Feast was created to provide a safe space and platform for the LGBTQIA+ community, where artists could freely express themselves, something that didn’t exist at that time.

Now in it’s 26th year Feast is an open access Festival that showcases emerging and established artists from both local and interstate LGBTQIA+ communities.

Over 500 Artists will present 80 Events in 2023 across multi-disciplinary art forms including Cabaret, Drag, Visual Art, Poetry, Comedy, Film, Burlesque, Music and Dance.

Much more than just the arts, Feast is a cultural festival and brings together community with event offerings such as the Queer Wedding Expo, LGBTQIA+ Historical Tours and Talks, Quiz nights, Drag Bingo, Roller Derby Bouts, Pool Parties, Fashion Parades, Speed dating and more.

Join us from the 1st to the 19th of November as we celebrate diversity, love and inclusivity in all it’s glorious forms!
