Feast Quiz night A Winner
Goodwood Community Centre was packed with 280 queer quiz goers for Feast’s biggest Quiz night ever. Eight rounds of queer quiz questions sourced by Feast Board member Brian North were a hit , Auctioneer Helen Bock whipped up bidding frenzy for an amazing array of items, new interval games were popular and there were prizes galore. Passion and Aleesha Legal added glamour demonstrating auction items and tallying table scores.
Quiz goers ranged across all ages, genders and sexualities -old hands and first timers mixed, mingled and enjoyed a night of fantastic community fundraising. After costs the event raised $10,200 the most money Feast has ever made from a single fundraiser.
‘ We are thrilled’ , said AD Daniel Clarke. ‘ Feast staff, volunteers and board put heaps of time and energy into this annual event. We receive such generous prize and auction donations, plus it’s fantastic to see so many people having a great night and supporting Feast’.
No less than 50 organisations and individuals donated prizes and auction items.

4 Screen organisations – Palace Nova East End Cinemas, Wallis Cinemas, Media Resource Centre, Queer Screen Sydney.
5 Cafes and Restaurants – Jasmine Indian Restaurant, Sky City North, Zest Café and Gallery, Queen Of Tarts, All Seasons Organic Café Mt Barker.
2 wineries- Hahndorf Hill and Hastwell and Lightfoot, McLaren Vale
20 Queer and queer friendly businesses – That’s Not Garbage, Webcare Solutions, Stella Creek Cherry Orchard, Rosey Boehm Photography, Imprints Booksellers, Pulteney 431,Rainbow Warehouse, Allan’s Music, Rapt Jewellery, Vicki Matchett and Matchett Productions, Madame Josephine’s Beauty Salon, Pulp Fiction, Salon Minque, Knead Me Massage, Elayne Stanton, Cash Converters Gouger St, Clipsal, Tupperware salespersons Rino Del Zoppo and Psyche Bradley, Wicked Willy’s Wicks Candlemakers of Distinction, Damien Carey and WHIPU2 Adelaide.

Feast’s Fundraising continues with Queer Christmas in July on Sunday 27 July featuring a stunning Mid Winter Feast by Vicki Matchett at the Hills village of Mylor.
