Berlin, in the 1920s, was the ‘Meeting Place for the International World’, where artists, scientists, philosophers, and disparate others flocked in search of identity, expression, acceptance and community. Circa 1929, two women of a certain age, amateurs rooted in the musical forms of the recent American past, try their luck on the stages and bars of Weimar Berlin… before the lights go out.
