Sparkke is a female-founded and led, for-purpose alcohol company, creating award-winning booze for absolutely everyone. Inclusivity and social equity is our foundation. At heart, we’re simply social activists pulling up a seat at the table in an industry that has been, let’s face it: fairly male, pale and stale.

Feast is Adelaide’s not-for-profit LGBTIQ+ Queer Arts and Cultural Festival and has been running since 1997. Feast is one of the 11 major Festivals in the State and has become a treasure, an institution and a bright spot on the South Australian events calendar.

You don’t need us to tell you that COVID-19 has run amok globally this year. It would be difficult to find anyone – individual or collective – who has not felt the impact from the pandemic, and that includes Feast Festival.

We at Sparkke wanted to help Feast continue its exuberant celebration of culture and diversity for our LGBTIQ+ communities. Particularly when we heard one of Feast’s major fundraising events held in the lead up to the November festival, the annual Quiz night, was cancelled because of restrictions imposed by COVID-19. The event generates vital income for the festival and brings the LGBTIQ+ communities together in a safe and joyful environment.

How are we doing this? Well we didn’t want to sponsor yet another Zoom-based event (yawn, sigh, snore… “you’re on mute”) but we did want to get meta-physical to share the love and we trust that you do too.

So, we’re inviting people to support Feast by attending events either in person or some from the comfort of your own home, celebrating in small groups and ensuring we all do the right thing for our communities.
